Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bummy Smesh (ranked 6606 p4p, 6788 weight class) and Raval Bard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raval Bard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bummy Smesh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raval Bard!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.

Smesh gets caught napping as Bard dives in and scores a takedown. Smesh manages to retain guard.

Smesh manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Smesh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smesh closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bard circles away.
Smesh shoots in but no luck this time.
Smesh checks a leg kick.
Bard tries a head kick but it misses.
Bard needs to keep his hands up - Smesh had a free shot at his head there.
Smesh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bard is fending him off so far but Smesh persists. Nope, Bard circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bummy Smesh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smesh uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bard.

Bard fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Smesh to the ground. Bard is now in Smesh's guard.

Let's hope that Bard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bard working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bard dives in and grabs Smesh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smesh pushes down on Bard's head and hops out.

Smesh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bard circles away quickly and effectively.

Smesh slaps away a takedown attempt from Bard, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Smesh dives in for a single leg takedown but Bard sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Smesh closes the distance and clinches up with Bard, looking for a takedown. Smesh pushes Bard against the cage but Bard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smesh tries to close the distance and clinch but Bard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bard is not content to let Smesh control the position.
Bard is looking to reverse the position.
Smesh controls the position from side control.
Smesh is looking to take a break and control but Bard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Smesh with the ground and pound but Bard regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raval Bard dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Horrible takedown attempt by Smesh or perhaps it was just good defense by Bard, which made it look bad.

A quick step to the side and Smesh tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Smesh will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Smesh is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bard scores with a couple of nice shots.

Bard looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Bard is nestled in close to Smesh, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Oh Smesh is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Raval Bard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bard has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Raval Bard rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Bummy Smesh spoke after the fight, saying 'That was a fluke and everyone knows it, immediate rematch please'.
