The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weight avoids a punch combination nicely.

Strap tries to counter by clinching up but Weight breaks away and moves out of range.

Jock Strap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weight scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Strap swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Weight counters with a nice right hand that sends Strap toppling to the canvas! Strap scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Weight finish him?!
Weight has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Weight has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Weight uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Strap.
Weight doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Weight lands a slapping body shot.
Strap fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Weight manages to avoid it.
Strap shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Weight pinned against the cage. Weight gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Weight throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Strap sees it coming and avoids it easily.
