Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sunny Electricity (ranked 5002 p4p, 4837 weight class) and Nathan Redmon (ranked 448 p4p, 209 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.

Redmon shoots in and gets a takedown into Electricity 's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Redmon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Electricity lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Redmon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Electricity defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Electricity stays in close to Redmon's body and controls the position.
Electricity missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Redmon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Electricity controls the pace.
Electricity has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Electricity would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Electricity tries to stand but Redmon is controlling from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Electricity throws a hook to the side of Redmon's head but Redmon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Electricity stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Electricity wants it to stay on the feet.
Electricity changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Redmon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Electricity did well to prevent Redmon getting side control.
Redmon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Electricity . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are battling for position here. Electricity manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Electricity is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Electricity wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Electricity on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Electricity tries to get out of the position.
Redmon won't allow Electricity to sweep him here.
Electricity manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Redmon manages to get himself to full guard.

Electricity passes easily into side control. Nice work.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Electricity slaps away a takedown attempt from Redmon, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Electricity tries to sprawl but Redmon drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Electricity has one foot on Redmon's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Redmon.
Electricity is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Redmon can do to turn this around?

Electricity shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Electricity wants to stand up but Redmon has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Electricity is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Redmon is just riding it out for now. Electricity eventually gives up the hold.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Electricity has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Redmon is breathing heavily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Electricity tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Electricity landing strikes, looking to finish!
Redmon keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Electricity with the ground and pound from mount.
Sunny Electricity overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Redmon tries to control Electricity 's body but Electricity pushes him off. Redmon squirms to his side and now Electricity has his back!
Electricity biding his time, controlling Redmon.
Electricity 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Electricity shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Redmon napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Electricity wants to stand but Redmon is controlling his arm.
Electricity is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Electricity decides to stand up, so the ref orders Redmon to his feet.
Sunny Electricity is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Redmon shoots in looking for a takedown. Electricity tries to sprawl out of it but Redmon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Electricity manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Electricity throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Redmon was covering up waiting for the punch and Electricity finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Redmon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Electricity slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Electricity passes into half guard.

Electricity is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Electricity controlling the pace.
Electricity landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Electricity content to control rather than advance.

Electricity winds up and cracks Redmon with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Electricity is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Electricity lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Electricity is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Nathan Redmon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sunny Electricity is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
