Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Morlikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baker's entrance music is The Duck Song. A fine choice. Sergei Morlikov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergei Morlikov!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Morlikov.
Sergei Morlikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morlikov throws a series of punches but Baker avoids them all with ease.
Morlikov misses with a jab, cross combination.

Baker moves into the clinch.
Morlikov has a couple of punches blocked by Baker.
Morlikov is looking to break free of the clinch but Baker has double underhooks.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Baker tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Morlikov just stands there and leans against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morlikov can't escape the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Baker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Baker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Morlikov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baker is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Morlikov has his hands clasped together but Baker extends an breaks Morlikov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Baker.
