Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.

Pate stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Horn.
Pate rushes Horn and presses him up against the cage.
I was talking to Pate's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A frustrated look appears on Horn's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Horn wants to get back to striking at distance but Pate won't allow it.
Horn blocking some punches.
Horn tries to break the clinch but Pate is controlling the position.
Pate lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Horn backwards.
Pate throws a knee to the head but misses.
Pate lands with a short punch from the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pate creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Horn tries to break free but Pate pushes him back against the cage.
Horn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pate has him pressed against the cage.
Pate lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Horn backwards.
Horn blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Pate prevents Horn from breaking the clinch.
Pate misses with a short punch on the inside.
Horn tries to break the clinch but Pate is controlling the position.
Pate landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Pate works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Horn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Pate throws a looping overhand right but Horn ducks down to avoid it.
Horn misses with an uppercut
enabling Pate to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Jon Horn has been cut.
Horn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pate tries to clinch but Horn moves out of range.
Horn on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pate. Pate obviously looking to wear him down.
Horn looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Pate drops his hands momentarily and Horn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Horn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pate lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Horn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Horn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Pate takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Horn throws an overhand right that lands on Pate's shoulder, as Pate tries to avoid the shot.
Pate on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Pate throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pate tries to clinch there but Horn circles away.
Good standup being displayed there by Horn as he connects with a hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pate dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Horn. That did some damage!

Horn cracks Pate with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Horn is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
That kick from Pate tenderised Horn's leg. Horn is trying to keep his angry face on.
Horn turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Pate tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pate gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Horn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pate has him pressed against the cage.
Horn has had enough of the clinch but Pate keeps him there for the moment.
Horn is trying to force a seperation but Pate has the dominant position.
Pate scores with a hook to the body.
Horn looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Pate lands with a right to the head.
Pate working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Pate throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Pate lands a huge knee in the clinch and it's knocked Horn out! Massive knee - he's celebrating with his corner and the crowd showing their appreciation!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Patriootti Pate!
A very excited looking Patriootti Pate rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
