Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adriano Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Riera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Riera's choice of entrance music: GMS vs Karan - Goa'n Mad. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adriano Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albert Riera!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ribeiro clinches up against the cage.
Ribeiro lands a right hand.
Riera prevents Ribeiro from breaking the clinch.

Riera decides to pull guard.

Riera is looking for a triangle but Ribeiro pushes his legs off easily.
Ribeiro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Riera on the ground.

Riera looking for a guillotine here but Ribeiro defends easily.
Ribeiro has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Riera is proving hard to escape from.

Riera has his foot on Ribeiro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ribeiro works his way back into a safe position though.

Riera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ribeiro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ribeiro avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Riera looks gassed!

Riera striking off his back but it's not causing Ribeiro any problems.
Ribeiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Riera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ribeiro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Riera is keeping the position for now.
Ribeiro tries to stand but Riera is controlling from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Riera is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Riera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ribeiro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ribeiro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ribeiro decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Riera, up you get!
Ribeiro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Riera moves away.
Ribeiro wants to clinch.
A head kick misses from Ribeiro.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Riera fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A jab-cross combination lands for Ribeiro and sends Riera crashing to the mat! Ribeiro follows him down to the mat - Riera regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Riera is rocked!

It looks like Albert Riera has been cut.

Ribeiro escapes and gets back to his feet.
Riera is still on wobbly legs! Can Ribeiro finish him?
Adriano Ribeiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Riera switches off momentarily and Ribeiro cracks him with a monster right hand! Riera topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Ribeiro dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Ribeiro!
