Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brillo Pad (ranked 25175 p4p, 4950 weight class) and Raval Bard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

The fight stays on the outside here - Pad looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pad seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Bard stands and throws Pad's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Pad throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bard works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pad sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bard's guard.
Bard pushes Pad off looking to stand but Pad dives back in and keeps control.

Bard tries to kick Pad off but Pad keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bard can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bard is looking to control Pad's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bard avoid being mounted?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pad dives in and grabs Bard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bard pushes down on Pad's head and hops out.
Pad lands with a nice combination. Bard backs away looking to recover.

Pad has Bard pressed against the cage, preventing Bard from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

That was a close round but I would say that Brillo Pad will probably get the nod.

Bard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
