Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jumba Jookiba (ranked 4898 p4p, 4739 weight class) and Hector Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Gray tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jookiba was well out of range. Poor timing from Gray.

Gray gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jookiba to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jookiba passes into half guard.
Gray wants to improve his position but Jookiba is controlling well.
Jookiba uses his free foot to push down on Gray's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gray.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jookiba has control of Gray's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gray regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jookiba seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gray for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jookiba cracks Gray with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gray really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jookiba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jookiba drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gray sprawls and moves away.

Jookiba shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gray's guard.
Gray wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jookiba manages to pass to side control.

Jookiba has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gray defend it? Jookiba steps over the head and cranks it - Gray is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jookiba!
