Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Hayes (ranked 5385 p4p, 24391 weight class) and Jacob Cass (ranked 466 p4p, 540 weight class). Jacob Cass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mathew Hayes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Cass!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.

Cass closes the distance and clinches up with Hayes, looking for a takedown. Cass pushes Hayes against the cage but Hayes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've been informed that Cass has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Hayes gets tackled into the cage by Cass. Cass maintains the clinch.
Hayes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cass has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Cass is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cass drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hayes gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hayes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hayes's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cass under the eye.
Cass moves in looking to clinch but Hayes pushes him off.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hayes clobbers Cass with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Cass tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hayes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cass somewhat.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cass.
Cass tries for a takedown but Hayes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Cass shoots in but no luck this time.

Hayes thuds his right hand into Cass's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

and Hayes counters with a three punch combo that has Cass backing up. Cass nods at Hayes to acknowledge the strikes.

Cass has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cass there as he acknowledges the shot.

Cass changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hayes tries to avoid it but Cass manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hayes to the ground. Hayes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cass fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hayes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cass. Cass circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hayes scores with a jab. Cass acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Hayes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cass sprawling to the canvas! Cass rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hayes finish him?!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hayes lands a really nice looking cross but Cass seems unphased.

Cass walks into a stiff left hand from Hayes.
Hayes throws a monster overhand right that drops Cass! Hayes follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
