Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Todd Packer (ranked 688 p4p, 1025 weight class) and Denny Sideman (ranked 99 p4p, 145 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 21 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Denny Sideman!

Sideman has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Packer is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Packer comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Packer lands a head kick. Sideman smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Packer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sideman swivels and escapes.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sideman! But no joy.

As Packer backs off Sideman throws a huge counter combo but Packer manages to avoid it all.

Sideman drops Packer with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Packer looks back up at him and smiles so Sideman waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Todd Packer has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sideman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Packer manages to avoid it.

Sideman blocks the elbow strike.
Sideman can't get the takedown.
Packer lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sideman backwards.

Sideman breaks the clinch.
Packer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sideman! But no joy.
Packer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Donk. Packer catches Sideman right on the button with a cross.
Sideman takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Sideman is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Packer had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sideman tries to throw a body punch but Packer avoids it by throwing Sideman back against the cage.

Packer pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sideman is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Packer to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Packer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Packer not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sideman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sideman is not content to let Packer control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Packer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sideman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Packer is looking to improve his position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sideman wants to take a breather but Packer is having none of it.

I would just about give that final round to Denny Sideman.
I've got Sideman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
