Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Rhea (ranked 3598 p4p, 6527 weight class) and Devin Ecker (ranked 440 p4p, 605 weight class). Ecker is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Loyal. The key to victory for Ross Rhea has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devin Ecker!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ben Hemmingworth and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rhea rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ecker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ecker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rhea.
Ecker takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rhea tries to bum rush Ecker with a series of wild strikes but Ecker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rhea throws a hook but Ecker blocks it.

Ecker shoots in for a takedown but Rhea shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ecker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

I was talking to Rhea's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Rhea batters Ecker with a massive right followed by a huge left! Ecker is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Rhea lands a final crushing right hand to drop Ecker to the mat with a gruesome thud! Rhea is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ross Rhea!
