Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Mendoza!

Mendoza lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Gold shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mendoza pinned against the cage. Mendoza gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gold fails to land the takedown.
Gold gets tackled into the cage by Mendoza. Mendoza maintains the clinch.
Mendoza lands with a left to the head.
Gold wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthaus Gold. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gold ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gold no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Mendoza wanted to stand there but Gold had control of the position.
Gold has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mendoza can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mendoza wants to get up but he can't break Gold's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mendoza has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gold to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mendoza is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gold pulls down on the head and he's put Mendoza to sleep! This one is all over!
