Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus O Mally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Mally has chosen Iron Man as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Mally looks to land a body kick but Shaw moved away.
Shaw looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
O Mally tries to clinch up.

O Mally gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
O Mally tries to land a sweep but no joy.
O Mally seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Shaw trying to control but O Mally is working from the bottom.
O Mally looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

O Mally pulls Shaw in close to his closed guard and prevents Shaw from doing any damage or advancing position.

O Mally had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shaw is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. O Mally Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shaw's back instead.
Shaw covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
O Mally landing with strikes.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Shaw wants to escape the position.
Shaw could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
O Mally slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Despite being in the dominant position, Magnus O Mally just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
O Mally throws a half hearted mid kick.
O Mally throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shaw checks a leg kick.

O Mally closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

O Mally decides to stand back up. O Mally steps back and let's Shaw get back to his feet.

O Mally has closed the distance and engaged Shaw in a clinch.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now O Mally is on top in guard.

Shaw tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
O Mally changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shaw fights it off and pushes away nicely.

O Mally has clasped his hands together around Shaw's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

O Mally has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

O Mally works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

O Mally lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
