Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Enzo Salvatore (ranked 252 p4p, 548 weight class) and Kendo Hirigushi (ranked 36 p4p, 74 weight class). Salvatore's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Reich mir die Hand. On his way into the cage it seems that Enzo Salvatore has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Enzo Salvatore seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Salvatore drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hirigushi pulls his leg out and moves away.

Salvatore is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hirigushi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Salvatore.

Hirigushi manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Salvatore keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

A short body shot lands from Hirigushi as the two fighters clinch.
Salvatore tries to work over Hirigushi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

I was talking to Salvatore's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Salvatore is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hirigushi to keep the fight standing.

Hirigushi is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Salvatore presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Hirigushi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hirigushi throws out a counter right but Salvatore avoids it with no problem.

and Salvatore takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hirigushi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Salvatore tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hirigushi lands a left and a right that send Salvatore crashing to the mat, dazed. Hirigushi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Salvatore is rocked!
Hirigushi is stalking Salvatore. Salvatore circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Hirigushi, and it's lights out! Salvatore really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
