Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.

Rat misses with a two punch combination.
Lima moves into range and clinches up with Rat.
Rat works on Lima's body with a couple of short punches.
Rat looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rat is leaning against Lima and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Rat gets underhooks to prevent Lima's takedown attempt.

Rat digs a right hand into Lima's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lima's gas tank.

Rat lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Lima.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lima tries for a takedown but Rat manages to get underhooks.

Lima has Rat pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rat manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Rat digs a right hand underneath Lima's ribcage. Lima let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Rat wants the takedown. Lima is fighting it off but Rat persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lima's guard against the cage.

Lima keeping moving, preventing Rat from controlling successfully.
Rat chips away with some ground and pound.
Rat's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Rat cracks Lima with a solid left hand.

Rat pushes down on Lima's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lima wants to control but Rat is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lima is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rat is trying to control. Lima wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Rat stops Lima from getting back to his feet.
Rat landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Rat lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Lima is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rat scores with a couple of nice shots.

Rat looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lima with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Lima is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Oh Lima is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rat lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Rat lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Lima quite badly. Lima pulls Rat in close trying to recover. Rat postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Lima on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Lima doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mac Rat!
