Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allen Neal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuri Yamamoto had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Yamamoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Allen Neal!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Neal stands up and beckons Yamamoto to his feet.
Neal works over Yamamoto's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Yuri Yamamoto has been cut.
Neal fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yamamoto.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yamamoto throws a looping overhand right but Neal ducks down to avoid it.
Yamamoto is looking to land body kicks.
Yamamoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Neal explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Neal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Yamamoto moves out of range as Neal throws a body kick.

Neal looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Neal scoring with punches to the head and body.
Yamamoto wants to sweep here but Neal controlling him for the moment.

Neal wanted to stand there but Yamamoto had control of the position.
Neal working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Yamamoto's head.
Neal passes Yamamoto's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Yamamoto kicks off Neal and gets to his feet.
Yamamoto is breathing heavily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Yamamoto looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Neal counters with a head kick that drops Yamamoto - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!

Neal stands up and beckons Yamamoto to join him on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Neal doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Yamamoto counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Yamamoto has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Neal manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Neal trying to control but Yamamoto is having none of it.
Neal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Yamamoto looks a forlorn figure.
Neal throws a sloppy strike and Yamamoto uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Yamamoto has ended up in Neal's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neal has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Yamamoto off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Yamamoto misses with a takedown attempt
and Neal makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Yamamoto avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Neal shoots in for a double leg but Yamamoto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Yamamoto throws a series of punches but Neal moves out of range.
Neal lands a nice shot that snaps Yamamoto's head back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No joy there for Neal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Neal gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Neal has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Yamamoto off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Allen Neal dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Yuri Yamamoto's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Neal misses with a combination
and Yamamoto counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Yamamoto throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Yamamoto throws a nice looking combination but Neal bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Neal forces Yamamoto back against the cage and clinches.
Yamamoto wants to break the clinch but can't.
Yamamoto wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Neal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A head kick misses from Neal.
Neal lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Neal.

Neal scores with a takedown into Yamamoto's guard.

Yamamoto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Neal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neal decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Yamamoto, up you get!

Yamamoto is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Yamamoto is desperately trying to improve his position but Neal has a good base and remains in mount.

Yamamoto regains half guard.
Ground and pound from Neal.
Neal lands with a punch from half guard.
Neal wants to take a breather but Yamamoto is having none of it.

Neal stands up and beckons Yamamoto to join him on the feet.
Yamamoto avoids the head kick by Neal.

Yamamoto swats away the attempt to clinch by Neal.
Yamamoto misses with a takedown
and Neal counters with a three punch combo that has Yamamoto backing up. Yamamoto nods at Neal to acknowledge the strikes.
Yamamoto wants to clinch
and Neal counters with a big head kick but Yamamoto shrugs it off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Neal looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Neal looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Yamamoto fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Neal sprawls well initially but Yamamoto persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Yamamoto is looking to take a break and control but Neal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Neal tries to kick Yamamoto off but Yamamoto keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Allen Neal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yamamoto.
Neal tries to clinch up.

Neal has managed to clinch.
Yamamoto tries to score a body lock takedown but Neal shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Neal closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

and Yamamoto counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yamamoto.

Neal looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yamamoto is one step ahead there.
Yamamoto looking to sit in guard and control but Neal gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Yamamoto working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Neal has passed into half guard!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Neal scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Neal is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yamamoto gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Yamamoto is controlling Neal's posture.

Neal gets to his feet. Yamamoto looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Yamamoto shoots in looking for a takedown. Neal tries to sprawl out of it but Yamamoto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Neal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Yamamoto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yamamoto takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Yuri Yamamoto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Neal closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Neal misses with the combination.
Neal jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Allen Neal is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Yamamoto pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Neal lands with a nice combination. Yamamoto backs away looking to recover.
Yamamoto fails to land with a series of punches.
Neal swinging wilding here.
Neal wants to clinch up but Yamamoto keeps it at a distance.
A head kick by Yamamoto misses
and Neal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Allen Neal seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Neal counters by clinching up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Allen Neal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Neal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
