Jay closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bassole tries to get to full guard but Jay has control of the leg.

Bassole is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jay pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bassole manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bassole wants to sweep but no luck.
Jay postures up in Bassole's guard and throws a big left but Bassole blocks it.
Jay is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bassole looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jay puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Jay seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jay wants to stand but Bassole is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Bassole reaches up to try and control the position but Jay seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Bassole rolls and tries to escape and now Jay has his back!

Jay working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Bassole is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Jay has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Bassole taps out!
