And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maris Lakis!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.

Lakis jumps guard but Hitter stands there with Lakis around his waist. Lakis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

We've been informed that Lakis has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Lakis manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Hitter shoots in for a takedown but Lakis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Lakis lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hitter takes a step back to recover.

Lakis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lakis showed some decent athleticism there.

Lakis shoots in and bounces Hitter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hitter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lakis is just riding it out for now. Hitter eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lakis is doing well to control the position and prevent Hitter from advancing to side control.

Hitter goes for a double leg but Lakis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lakis continues to drive forward.

Hitter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lakis defends well and Hitter ends up having to push Lakis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Lakis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hitter was covering up waiting for the punch and Lakis finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hitter controls Lakis momentarily but Lakis frees himself.
Lakis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well Lakis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
