Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Perez (ranked 3732 p4p, 6381 weight class) and Tommy Ayomy (ranked 416 p4p, 545 weight class). Ayomy has chosen 1 2 3 as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ayomy forces Perez back against the cage and clinches.
Ayomy misses with the head strike.
Ayomy lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Perez.

Ayomy's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Perez manages to end up in side control.
Check out the look on Perez's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ayomy sneaks back into half guard.

Ayomy tries to buck Perez off but Perez is having none of it.
Perez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Perez is looking to take a break and control but Ayomy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ayomy is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Perez looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Ayomy kicks off Perez and gets to his feet.

Perez gets tackled into the cage by Ayomy. Ayomy maintains the clinch.
Ayomy has Perez pushed against the cage.
Perez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The referee calls for Ayomy to work.

Ayomy's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Ayomy pushes Perez back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ayomy lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ayomy closes the distance and pushes Perez back into the cage.

Ayomy swings wildly with an uppercut but Perez uses good head movement to avoid it.

Perez gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Ayomy regains guard.

Perez is looking to advance position but Ayomy won't allow it.
Ayomy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Perez is working away from the top position though.
Ayomy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Perez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Ayomy is staying active underneath Perez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ayomy is trying to maintain the position but Perez is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Ayomy dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ayomy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ayomy wants to clinch.
Perez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Ayomy takes the fight into the clinch.
Perez takes a shot to the head.
Perez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ayomy uses from the top position.

Ayomy tries to free his leg and advance position but Perez is retaining full guard.
Perez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ayomy is sitting in close to Perez's body. Perez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ayomy is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ayomy is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Perez.
