PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Micozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Mallon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mallon has chosen Live To Party - Jonas Brothers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mallon shoots in for a double leg but Micozzi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Micozzi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mallon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Micozzi.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

so Micozzi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Mallon wants to sweep here but Micozzi controlling him for the moment.

A lull in the action here as Micozzi stalls from top position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
