Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Biernat (ranked 2229 p4p, 1140 weight class) and Lazuran Riku (ranked 259 p4p, 139 weight class). Biernat comes to the cage accompanied by Someday. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Biernat shoots in for a takedown but Riku shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Biernat tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Biernat has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Biernat swings around for an armbar but Riku sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Biernat's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Riku cracks Biernat with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Biernat looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Riku finish him?

Riku walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Biernat drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Riku swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Biernat's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

After the fight, Lazuran Riku was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
