Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vip Vip (ranked 5950 p4p, 5211 weight class) and Mike Marin (ranked 0 p4p, 486 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Vip Vip has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vip Vip seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Marin doesn't manage to clinch there - Vip circles away.

Marin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vip sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marin somewhat.
Marin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vip's waist but Vip gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marin off to one side.

Vip wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Marin manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vip is not content to let Marin control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vip holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Vip is controlling Marin's position as best he can from this difficult position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Marin shoots in looking for a takedown. Vip tries to sprawl out of it but Marin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vip manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vip was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Vip Vip has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Marin.
Marin throws the kick towards the body but Vip avoids it.
Vip connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Marin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vip paws at him with a jab and circles away.
