Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Voronov (ranked 1193 p4p, 1677 weight class) and Battle Avatar (ranked 175 p4p, 237 weight class). Avatar has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Voronov closes the distance and clinches.

Avatar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Voronov wants to clinch but Avatar slips to the side
and Voronov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Yuri Voronov has been cut.
A big left from Avatar misses.
Voronov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Avatar swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A little jabbing left from Avatar on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Avatar throws a front kick aimed at Voronov's knee but Voronov avoids it well.
Avatar slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Voronov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Avatar swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Avatar jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Voronov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Avatar, pushing him back against the cage.
Our sources have told us that Voronov has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Avatar lands a body punch.
Avatar is trying to break the clinch but Voronov has him pressed against the cage.
Voronov scores with a shot to the side of Avatar's head.
Voronov tries a body shot but Avatar blocks it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Voronov lands with a short head shot on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Voronov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A counter left hand to the body from Voronov misses its target.
Voronov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Voronov walks into a left hand.
Voronov gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Avatar gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Battle Avatar decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
