Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Kulter (ranked 4915 p4p, 4757 weight class) and Felix Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 515 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.

Patrick drives through with a takedown into guard.
Patrick trying to control the position from guard on top but Kulter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Patrick is looking to work some ground and pound but Kulter has wrist control.
Patrick with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Kulter pulls Patrick in close to prevent any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kulter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Patrick is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kulter pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kulter jumps into guard, dragging Patrick to the mat.
Kulter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Patrick has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kulter is working away from the top position though.

Patrick wants to get back to full guard but Kulter has passed into side control.
Patrick avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kulter.

Kulter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Patrick throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Patrick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kulter swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kulter is looking to clinch.

Kulter shoots for a takedown but Patrick saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kulter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Patrick's waist but Patrick gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kulter off to one side.

Kulter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Patrick as he jumps to the side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Patrick stuffs the takedown attempt from Kulter. Kulter gets slowly back to his feet.
Patrick closes the distance but Kulter moves to the side
and Kulter counters with an outside leg kick.
Patrick tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kulter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Patrick somewhat.

Kulter darts in and clinches Patrick up against the cage.
Patrick escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Patrick keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Patrick tries to clinch up.
Kulter fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kulter misses with a shot to the body
and Patrick counters by moving into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Patrick's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Patrick gets control of Kulter's arms and successfully pulls guard. Patrick will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patrick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kulter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kulter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Patrick tries to keep at a distance but Kulter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kulter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Patrick walks away with a smile on his face. Kulter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kulter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kulter wants it to stay on the feet.
Kulter lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Kulter fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kulter gets a clinch.
Kulter is working for takedown but Patrick is calmly controlling the position for now.

Patrick wants to break free but Kulter has control.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Patrick gets through Kulter's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Kulter forces Patrick back against the cage and clinches.
Kulter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Patrick counters by clinching up.
Kulter is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Patrick to keep the fight standing.

Felix Patrick is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kulter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Patrick's head.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kevin Kulter.
I think Patrick has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
