Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ken Bera (ranked 25102 p4p, 4238 weight class) and Raul Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Raul Mendez !
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and James Ackerman.

Bera stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bera wants it to stay on the feet.

Mendez has Bera up against the cage in a clinch.

Mendez drops back looking for a leg! Bera is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bera manages to kick Mendez off! Mendez jumps back into Bera's guard.

Mendez tightens his grip and picks Bera up, before dumping him to the ground. Bera manages to land in guard.

Bera is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bera is thwarting Mendez 's attempts to control the position.
Bera uses his free foot to push down on Mendez 's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mendez .
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mendez will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bera up against the cage.

Mendez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bera bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bera enables Mendez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bera manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bera looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mendez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Mendez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Bera has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mendez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bera looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bera attempts a counter takedown but Mendez avoids it well and moves away.
Mendez finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Bera gets caught napping as Mendez dives in and scores a takedown. Bera manages to retain guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mendez wants to get up but he can't break Bera's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mendez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bera is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mendez , into his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ken Bera will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Bera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mendez pinned against the cage. Mendez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mendez is looking to clinch but Bera is avoiding it.
Bera is looking to counter the offense by Mendez and move into the clinch.
Mendez throws a head kick but Bera moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Bera. No joy for Mendez on that attempt.

Mendez shoots in but Bera avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Mendez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bera napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Horrible takedown attempt by Bera or perhaps it was just good defense by Mendez , which made it look bad.
