PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Moltisanti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moltisanti's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Can't be touched. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hare tries to clinch up.
Moltisanti shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hare as he jumps to the side.
Moltisanti could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hare throws the left hand but Moltisanti avoids the punch easily.
Hare fails with the takedown

and Moltisanti decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hare's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hare is on top in guard.

Hare drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Moltisanti manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hare has Moltisanti in his guard.
Moltisanti chips away with some ground and pound.
Hare manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Moltisanti manages to get himself to full guard.

Hare throwing strikes from guard but Moltisanti blocks nicely.

Moltisanti has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hare can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hare wants to get up but he can't break Moltisanti's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Moltisanti tries to strike from the bottom.
Hareis looking to pass into half guard but Moltisanti pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Moltisanti is in guard.
Hare wants to sweep but no luck.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hare wants to control but Moltisanti passes easily into half guard.
Hare works his way to full guard. Good work.

Moltisanti throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hare works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hare has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moltisanti can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hare escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Moltisanti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hare looks gassed!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hare is on top in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hare trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Moltisanti had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hare is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Moltisanti Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hare's back instead.
Hare can't escape the position.
Hare rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Hare tries to get to full guard but Moltisanti has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Christopher Moltisanti will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Moltisanti looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Moltisanti misses with a takedown attempt - Hare sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hare gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Hare jumps guard.

Hare throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Moltisanti escapes and throws Hare's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Hare explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Jimmy Hare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hare misses with a takedown attempt

and Moltisanti counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Hare moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Hare will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Hare looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Moltisanti is defending well. Hare quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Moltisanti has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hare celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
