Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Clancey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elvis Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Clancey!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Armstrong staying out of range there.
Armstrong avoids the head kick by Clancey.
Clancey swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Clancey scores with a shot to the body.
Clancey throws a right hand that Armstrong ducks under and follows up with a left that Armstrong also avoids with ease.
Armstrong shoots in for a takedown but Clancey shows good takedown defense.
Clancey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Armstrong closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Clancey to the mat! Clancey manages to get full guard.

Armstrong passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Clancey!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Clancey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Armstrong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Armstrong prevents Clancey from getting the reversal.
Armstrong tries to control but Clancey wriggling away.
Armstrong is breathing heavily.
Armstrong punching from mount but Clancey doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Clancey tries to reverse the position but Armstrong maintains control.

Armstrong with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Clancey can't escape the position.
Armstrong looking to land elbow strikes but Clancey uses the position to regain half guard.

Armstrong is looking for a kimura here.
Clancey is looking to control Armstrong's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Clancey avoid being mounted?

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Armstrong thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Clancey's head.
Clancey works his way to full guard. Good work.

Clancey pushes Armstrong off and gets back to his feet.

Armstrong tries to keep at a distance but Clancey has taken the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tom Clancey will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Armstrong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Clancey scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Tom Clancey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Clancey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Clancey's corner calls for a 1-2. Clancey obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Clancey throws a sloppy head kick and Armstrong moves out of range easily.

Clancey lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Armstrong has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Clancey uses from the top position.

Armstrong had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Clancey is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Armstrong Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Clancey's back instead.
Clancey turns into Armstrong and is now in his guard.
Clancey wanted to stand there but Armstrong had control of the position.

Tom Clancey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

No luck for Armstrong with that takedown attempt.
A left and a right from Clancey both land. Nice combination.
Armstrong closes the distance and clinches up with Clancey, looking for a takedown. Armstrong pushes Clancey against the cage but Clancey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Armstrong walks into a left hand.
Jab, jab by Clancey - just one landing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Clancey lands a really nice looking cross but Armstrong seems unphased.
Elvis Armstrong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tom Clancey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Clancey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Armstrong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Tom Clancey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Clancey winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
