Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Olof Berglund (ranked 5416 p4p, 6689 weight class) and Mattox Jimbern (ranked 472 p4p, 527 weight class). Mattox Jimbern told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

Jimbern shoots in looking for a takedown but Berglund manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jimbern's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Berglund is in close to Jimbern's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Berglund distracts Jimbern with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Berglund got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jimbern has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Berglund has managed to get both his arms back between Jimbern's legs - danger averted.

Jimbern wants to stand and escape but Berglund is having none of it.
Berglund postures up and lands a big shot to Jimbern's brow.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jimbern can do anything to dispel that myth.

Berglund knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jimbern on the ground.
Berglund wants to control from the top but Jimbern keeps moving.
Berglund working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berglund is pushing down on Jimbern's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jimbern is fighting to maintain full guard but Berglund has managed to sneak the leg through.
Jimbern seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Berglund wants to control but Jimbern is keeping him busy.
Berglund throws a strike but Jimbern avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Berglund is working Jimbern over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Berglund gets to his feet and stands over Jimbern, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Jimbern felt that one! Berglund unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Jimbern from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Olof Berglund!
