Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Seefeldt (ranked 4803 p4p, 5006 weight class) and Kelly Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelly Bean!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Darius Henderson and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bean throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bean instigates a clinch.
Seefeldt gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bean.

Bean's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bean avoids a kick to the body.
Seefeldt swings away with a leg kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seefeldt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Seefeldt looks to land a right hand but Bean moved out of range.

Seefeldt wants to get back to his feet.
Bean wants to stand up but Seefeldt has a hold of him and won't allow it.

It looks like Bean might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Bean looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Bean is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Bean with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Seefeldt is in a horrible position here. Bean smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Seefeldt tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bean postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Seefeldt looks a forlorn figure.
Bean tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bean's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Bean is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Seefeldt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Seefeldt shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Seefeldt keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Seefeldt wants to control but Bean is having none of it.
Bean controlling from mount.
Seefeldt is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Seefeldt is looking to improve his position but Bean isn't that keen on the idea.
Bean punishing his opponent with strikes.
Bean cracks Seefeldt with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bean looking to control and managing it successfully.
Bean landing strikes from the mount and Seefeldt is in trouble!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bean shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bean seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Seefeldt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Seefeldt throws a sloppy head kick

and Bean counters by moving into the clinch.

Bean turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bean manages to end up in side control.
Seefeldt wants to control but Bean postures up.
Seefeldt is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bean asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bean moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Bean tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bean has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Seefeldt is trying to get back to his feet.
Bean in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Seefeldt is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bean asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Seefeldt trying to remain calm as Bean controls from the top position.
Bean wants to stand but Seefeldt is controlling his arm.

Bean works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Seefeldt manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Bean wants to pass the guard but Seefeldt is defending well.

Seefeldt is trying to stand up here but Bean is controlling him well.
Bean seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Kelly Bean showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Seefeldt. Bean shrugs it off though.
Seefeldt connects with a solid leg kick.
Seefeldt walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bean checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Seefeldt is looking to land body kicks.

Seefeldt cracks Bean with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Bean changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Seefeldt tries to avoid it but Bean manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Seefeldt to the ground. Seefeldt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bean moves into range and clinches up with Seefeldt.

Bean breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Seefeldt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Seefeldt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bean takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Seefeldt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bean wants to counter with a clinch but Seefeldt pushes him away.

Seefeldt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bean.
Seefeldt throws a big counter combination but Bean scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Seefeldt scores with a head kick. Bean tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Seefeldt lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bean's sensitive parts.
Jim Seefeldt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A head kick from Seefeldt lands but Bean takes it in his stride.

Bean is rocked!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Seefeldt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bean has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bean and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jim Seefeldt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Seefeldt scores with a hook to the body. Bean takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bean seems to have recovered his senses.
Seefeldt throws a head kick but Bean moves out of range.
Good work by Bean as he checks the leg kick.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Bean cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Bean closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Bean avoids the head kick by Seefeldt.
Seefeldt misses with an attempted mid kick.

Kelly Bean is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
