Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Irwin (ranked 4878 p4p, 5484 weight class) and Cold Steve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cold Steve!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Winston Howard and Topper Green.

Irwin connects with a single shot there.
Steve changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Irwin tries to avoid it but Steve manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Irwin to the ground. Irwin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Irwin counters with a nice uppercut.

and Irwin counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Irwin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Steve shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Irwin as he jumps to the side.

Irwin lands a really nice looking cross but Steve seems unphased.
No joy there for Irwin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Irwin counters with a low kick, right behind Steve 's knee.
Irwin cracks Steve with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Steve closes the distance but Irwin moves to the side
and Irwin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Steve rushes Irwin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Irwin tries a body shot but Steve blocks it.

Steve breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Steve throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Irwin counters with a good low kick that Steve was not able to check.

Steve gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Irwin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Steve fails with the takedown
and Irwin counters with a head kick. That will keep Steve thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Steve steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Irwin. That one must have hurt.
Steve is trying desperately to land a takedown but Irwin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Steve.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
