Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Georges Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Bridges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cote comes to the cage accompanied by Fresh Azimiz- Bow Wow. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cote changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bridges looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bridges manages to get back to half guard.
Bridges gets back to full guard.

Cote passes Bridges's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bridges is looking to improve his position.
Bridges moves into full guard.

Bridges is pressing down on Cote's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cote is holding on for now.
Cote tries to roll over but Bridges keeps him under control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cote wants to control but Bridges passes into side.
Cote is breathing heavily.

Bridges trying to control the position but Cote is working away.

Bridges wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cote, who protects the arm well.

Bridges thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bridges wants to free his trapped foot but Cote is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bridges seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Cote is holding on tight.
Cote manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Bridges is pressing down on Cote's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cote is holding on for now.
Cote is in trouble now - Bridges has advanced to mount!
Cote is desperately trying to improve his position but Bridges has a good base and remains in mount.
Cote wants to hold on but Bridges pushes him away.
Cote has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Cote tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jeff Bridges will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cote closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bridges is on top in guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bridges tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cote knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bridges on the ground.

Bridges can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cote is looking to escape.

Cote has left one of his arms exposed and Bridges doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Cote screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
