Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Bateman (ranked 4509 p4p, 2483 weight class) and Derick Muise (ranked 511 p4p, 318 weight class). Bateman comes to the cage accompanied by Critical Mass. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Bateman shoots in looking for a takedown. Muise tries to sprawl out of it but Bateman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Muise manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bateman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It seemed like Muise was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Muise swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bateman.
Muise lands with an overhand left.
Muise's corner calls for a 1-2. Muise obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Muise looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Muise lands a big right hand that sends Bateman crashing to the mat! Muise stays standing though and waves Bateman back to his feet!

Muise lands a big uppercut and Bateman crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bateman looks OK. Muise waves Bateman back to his feet!

Muise moves in close and cracks Bateman with a massive right hand! Bateman, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Muise!
