Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Hugh (ranked 4864 p4p, 4862 weight class) and Nox Vinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Hugh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nox Vinn!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.





The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinn shoots for a double leg takedown but Hugh sprawls well. He's pushed Vinn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Vinn closes the distance and clinches.
Vinn lands a body punch in the clinch.
Vinn controlling the action here for a moment.
Vinn misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hugh is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Hugh is trying to pull guard but Vinn has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vinn is trying to force a seperation but Hugh has the dominant position.

Hugh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hugh defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vinn.
Hugh is looking to counter the offense by Vinn and move into the clinch.

Hugh has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hugh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Vinn tries to pull guard but Hugh holds him up against the cage and eventually Vinn drops back down to his feet.
David Hugh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nox Vinn.

Hugh connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Vinn some visible discomfort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vinn is looking to improve his position but Hugh isn't that keen on the idea.

Vinn is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Vinn breaks Hugh's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Hugh wants to get back to his feet but Vinn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Vinn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hugh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hugh doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hugh had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vinn defends it easily.
Hugh has his hands on Vinn's head, controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Hugh dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Vinn blocks a head kick by Hugh.
Vinn dives in for a single leg takedown but Hugh sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Vinn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hugh tries to clinch up.
David Hugh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Vinn tries to clinch up but Hugh circles away and keeps his distance.

Hugh shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Vinn manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Vinn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hugh lands a couple of elbows.
David Hugh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hugh would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Vinn trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Hugh postures up and lands a big shot to Vinn's brow.
Hugh wants to pass the guard but Vinn is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hugh not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hugh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hugh is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vinn can do to turn this around?

Hugh shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hugh perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Vinn wants to improve his position but Hugh is controlling well.
Hugh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Vinn wants to get back to full guard.

Hugh is thwarting Vinn's attempts to control the position.
Vinn punching from the bottom.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Vinn is breathing heavily.
Vinn wants to control but Hugh is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Vinn throws a right hand that Hugh ducks under and follows up with a left that Hugh also avoids with ease.

Hugh is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vinn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hugh.

Vinn scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hugh manages to mount him!

Hugh is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Vinn is surviving well by controlling Hugh's body position as best he can.
