The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lashey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Clinch paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lashey crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Clinch - the referee stops the clock and Lashey gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Clinch. Lashey manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

It looks like Bobby Lashey has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clinch is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lashey pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Clinch wants to get back to his feet but Lashey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Clinch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lashey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lashey stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Clinch.

Clinch comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
