The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinn dodges the punch combination from Shearer.
Quinn seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Shearer loads up on a big right hand but Quinn slips the punch.
Quinn appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Shearer throws a body shot but no joy.
Quinn misses with a few strikes there.
Shearer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Quinn misses with an uppercut.
Shearer throws a shot from downtown. Quinn moves away and avoids it.
Shearer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shearer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Quinn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Quinn throws a hook but Shearer blocks it.
Shearer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Quinn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Alan Shearer has been cut.

Quinn drops Shearer with a beautiful combination! Shearer stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Quinn is looking for the KO!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shearer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Quinn misses with a two punch combination.
Quinn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Quinn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Quinn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shearer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Quinn throws a nice looking combination but Shearer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shearer needs to keep his hands up - Quinn had a free shot at his head there.

That has opened up Alan Shearer's cut even more.
Quinn staying out of range there.
A cross from Shearer lands.
Shearer misses with a hook. Quinn ducked under it nicely.
An attempted straight right counter from Quinn misses the target.
Shearer misses with a straight left.

Quinn looks to throw the jab but Shearer is out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shearer throws a right and a left that Quinn avoids nicely.
Shearer avoids the body shot from Quinn.

Quinn lands a left and a right that send Shearer crashing to the mat, dazed. Quinn thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Shearer is rocked!
Shearer drops his hands momentarily. Quinn doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Shearer staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Shearer doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Micky Quinn tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
