Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Gudmundsson (ranked 2866 p4p, 314 weight class) and Joyce Almeida (ranked 4501 p4p, 432 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Gudmundsson!
Steve Gudmundsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Almeida misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Almeida closes the distance and clinches.
Almeida jumps guard but Gudmundsson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Steve Gudmundsson.
Well Gudmundsson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
