Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Smith (ranked 4403 p4p, 4156 weight class) and Jorge Morales (ranked 532 p4p, 505 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Smith seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Morales will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Smith lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Morales backs up against the cage.

It looks like Jorge Morales has been cut.
Smith slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Morales takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Smith counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Morales! He's just covering up as Smith starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

After the fight, Hugo Smith was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
