PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orpheus Boagrius (ranked 244 p4p, 385 weight class) and Zdravko Saric (ranked 9 p4p, 17 weight class). Boagrius comes to the cage accompanied by Akkadian Empire . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Boagrius misses with a kick to the body
and Saric counters with a straight right hand.
Boagrius shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Saric swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Boagrius tries to land a front kick but Saric steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Saric is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Boagrius tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Saric was well out of range. Poor timing from Boagrius.
Saric throws out a counter right but Boagrius avoids it with no problem.
We've been informed that Saric has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Boagrius throws a push kick but Saric slaps the foot to one side.
Zdravko Saric seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Saric throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Boagrius quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

and Boagrius makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Boagrius takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Saric throws a solid leg kick but Boagrius takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Saric.

Saric cracks Boagrius with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Boagrius fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Saric has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Saric takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Zdravko Saric has been cut.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Saric.
Saric takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Saric throws a low kick but Boagrius moves out of range easily.
Saric throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Boagrius swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Saric swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Saric tests Boagrius's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Boagrius checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Saric feints and then cracks Boagrius's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boagrius down.

Boagrius has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boagrius tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Boagrius tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Saric's elbow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Saric digs a right hand into Boagrius's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Boagrius's gas tank.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Saric takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Boagrius throws a leg kick which misses Saric's front leg but catches the back leg as Saric tries to avoid it.

Boagrius dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Boagrius lands a nice shot to the body.

Saric is breathing heavily.

Boagrius drops Saric with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Saric looks back up at him and smiles so Boagrius waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Saric is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Boagrius throws a pinpoint strike between Saric's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Saric crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Boagrius scores a great knockout victory!
