Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krisko Kurtev (ranked 2805 p4p, 350 weight class) and Cole Ison (ranked 2590 p4p, 322 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kurtev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ison tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ison manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Kurtev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ison with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ison is staying active underneath Kurtev, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ison is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kurtev pulls his head out easily.
Kurtev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kurtev is thwarting Ison's attempts to control the position.

Kurtev takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kurtev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kurtev connects with a nice short shot to Ison's temple.

Kurtev winds up and cracks Ison with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kurtev is nestled in close to Ison, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Kurtev thows a huge punch but Ison dodges it nicely.
Kurtev lands a big elbow - Ison is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Kurtev!
