Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Falcon (ranked 4488 p4p, 521 weight class) and Kobe Covington (ranked 4526 p4p, 527 weight class). Covington has chosen Starboy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kobe Covington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Covington shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Falcon's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Falcon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Covington takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Falcon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Covington stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Falcon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Covington takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Covington dives in for a single leg takedown but Falcon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Falcon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Covington can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Falcon will probably get the nod.

It looks like Falcon has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
