Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Norton (ranked 3318 p4p, 4850 weight class) and Paul Josiract (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Norton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Real American. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Josiract throws a solid leg kick but Norton takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Josiract.
Norton blocks the body kick.
Josiract tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Josiract misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Norton counters with a leg kick.
Josiract pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Josiract throws a quick inside leg kick.
Paul Josiract seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Josiract throws a sloppy head kick

and Norton counters with a nice right hand that sends Josiract toppling to the canvas! Josiract scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Norton finish him?!

It looks like Paul Josiract has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Josiract throws a leg kick
and Norton counters with a good low kick that Josiract was not able to check.
Josiract looks winded!
Josiract throws a head kick but Norton moves out of range.
Josiract rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Josiract takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

That has opened up Paul Josiract's cut even more.
Josiract misses with a straight left.
Josiract throws a left and a right that both miss

and Norton counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Norton scores with a hook to the body.
Norton lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Norton lands with a light punch inside.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Norton lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Josiract.

Norton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Josiract gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Norton gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Norton!
