The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and De Vries cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Francis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
De Vries connects with a body shot that sends Francis's belly button to the back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Vries is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Francis.
De Vries lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
De Vries scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

De Vries throws a body punch but Francis moves out of range.
Francis feints the counter takedown.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
