Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peetu Tam (ranked 5121 p4p, 5408 weight class) and Island Chai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai works Tam's body with a nice hook.
Tam tries to clinch up but Chai circles away and keeps his distance.
Chai lands with an overhand left.
Chai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Chai looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Chai cracks a nice hook into Tam's ribs.
Tam scores with a hook.
Chai stuffs the takedown attempt from Tam. Tam gets slowly back to his feet.
Chai let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Tam throws a hook but Chai blocks it.
Left hook, right uppercut from Chai.
Tam takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tam walks into a left hand.
Chai takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Tam tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chai defends well and Tam ends up having to push Chai into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tam misses with a hook. Chai ducked under it nicely.
Chai slips under a jab.
Tam takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Chai looks to land a combination. Tam sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Chai cracks Tam with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Chai scores with a jab to the body.
Chai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tam throws a big shot that misses.
Tam takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Chai fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tam on the side of the head.
Chai is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Tam throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tam tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chai swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tam takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Chai lands an overhand right.

Chai moves out of range as Tam strikes.
Chai connects with a looping right hand.

Tam takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Tam misses with a straight left.
Chai should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Tam shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chai is trying to defend but Tam finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Tam passes the guard and advances to mount!
Tam thowing shots but they're missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tam misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

A big strike lands for Tam! That's really hurt Chai and he's turned his back - Tam keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Tam jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
