Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jones Jr (ranked 232 p4p, 254 weight class) and Lee Roy (ranked 34 p4p, 41 weight class). Roy has chosen General Lee as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Roy!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.





The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones Jr checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Roy scores with a jab. Jones Jr acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Roy enables Jones Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Roy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!

That was a close second round but I would say that Jim Jones Jr will probably get the nod.

Jones Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Roy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Roy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jim Jones Jr.
I think Jones Jr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
