Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tavon Shebu (ranked 4568 p4p, 528 weight class) and Andrew Field (ranked 25839 p4p, 723 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shebu looks to score with a jab to the body but Field is just out of range.
Shebu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Andrew Field has been cut.

Field gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Shebu misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Field.
Shebu misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Field on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Shebu fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Shebu is struggling to control the position.
Field changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shebu fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Field avoids the head kick by Shebu.
Tavon Shebu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Field shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shebu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Field closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Field goes for a takedown in the clinch but Shebu prevents it.
Tavon Shebu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Field.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Field is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shebu gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Shebu lands a right hand that snaps the head of Field backwards.

Shebu struggles to land a body shot inside as Field controls his hands.
Field pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Shebu postures up and lands a big shot to Field's brow.

Shebu keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Field's head.

Shebu postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Shebu is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Canucks Combat Club that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Field has control of Shebu's left arm, preventing Shebu from doing any damage.
Field has momentary wrist control but Shebu slips an elbow through the middle.
Shebu working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Shebu lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Shebu's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Field is rocked!
Shebu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Field on the ground.
Shebu working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Field's head.
Field is still in real trouble! Can Shebu finish him?
Shebu works over Field with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Field looks winded!
Shebu stands up over Field, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Shebu loads up on a big left hand. Field felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Shebu looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Field can't hide his disappointment, as Shebu celebrates the victory.
