Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Manuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manuel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Irations- Falling. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wang lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Manuel circles away quickly and effectively.
Wang tries to clinch up but Manuel circles away and keeps his distance.

Wang pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Manuel tries to work over Wang's front leg with a kick but Wang checks it.

Wang had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Manuel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wang Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Manuel's back instead.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Manuel connects with a nice short shot to Wang's temple.

Manuel connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wang momentarily.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Wang shoots for a takedown but Manuel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Manuel will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Gabe Manuel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manuel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
