Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Mckean (ranked 2832 p4p, 0 weight class) and Obina Chuckwu (ranked 4710 p4p, 496 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mckean closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chuckwu's guard.
Chuckwu trying to keep a closed guard but Mckean is proving a slippery customer.
Mckean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chuckwu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chuckwu can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mckean trying to control the position from guard on top but Chuckwu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mckean tries to free his leg and advance position but Chuckwu is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mckean will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mckean passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Mckean is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chuckwu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mckean tries to advance to mount but Chuckwu denies him.
Mckean is trying to move to mount but Chuckwu reverses beautifully and ends up in Mckean's guard.

Mckean pulls Chuckwu in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mckean has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chuckwu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chuckwu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mckean manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chuckwu has Mckean in his guard.

Chuckwu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Chuckwu with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Chuckwu lands a couple of elbows.
Mckean seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Chuckwu has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mckean to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Chuckwu is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mckean pulls down on the head and he's put Chuckwu to sleep! This one is all over!
