PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eagles Farted (ranked 6928 p4p, 493 weight class) and Venali Paetmar (ranked 3135 p4p, 299 weight class). Paetmar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Powerwolf - Amen & Attack. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paetmar connects with an inside leg kick.
Farted goes for a double leg but Paetmar avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Paetmar continues to drive forward.
Farted throws a right and a left that Paetmar avoids nicely.
Farted shoots in and drives through. Paetmar sprawls well.
Farted blocks a low kick nicely.
Nice body kick there by Paetmar.
Farted with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Paetmar to score with a decent uppercut.
Venali Paetmar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Farted moves into the clinch.

Farted is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Paetmar is defending well.

Paetmar tries a body shot but Farted blocks it.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Farted wants to break free but Paetmar has control.

Farted definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Paetmar wants to control from the top but Farted keeps moving.
Farted utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Farted will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Farted manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Paetmar manages to get himself to full guard.

Farted wanted to stand there but Paetmar had control of the position.

Farted is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Paetmar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Farted.

Paetmar wants to control but Farted is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Paetmar is looking to improve his position.
Farted is looking to take a break and control but Paetmar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Farted looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Farted seems to be working for a kimura but Paetmar defends the submission attempt.
Paetmar won't allow Farted to pass to mount.
Paetmar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Farted is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eagles Farted will probably get the nod.
That's time! Farted's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Paetmar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Farted wants to lay and pray for a moment but Paetmar keeps working.

Farted really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Paetmar felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Farted is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Paetmar can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Paetmar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Paetmar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Farted. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Farted has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Farted wants to control the pace but Paetmar is squirming around nicely.
Farted takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Paetmar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Farted sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Farted throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Paetmar has his hands clasped together but Farted breaks the hold and Paetmar is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Farted!
