Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukus Haas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haas is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Drowning Pool's Bodies. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lukus Haas!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welsh scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Lukus Haas has been cut.
Haas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Welsh drives through with a takedown into guard.
Welsh working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Haas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Haas had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Welsh is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Haas Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Welsh 's back instead.
