Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maximum Deals (ranked 7550 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Minkey (ranked 7037 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deals closes the distance and clinches up with Minkey, looking for a takedown. Deals pushes Minkey against the cage but Minkey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Minkey slips a straight right by Deals.
Deals tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Minkey defends well and Deals ends up having to push Minkey into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

so Minkey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Deals is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Minkey's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Deals is trying to control the position but Minkey postures up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Minkey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Deals.

Minkey throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Deals tries to clinch there but Minkey circles away.
Minkey throws a fast counter high kick but Deals manages to duck under it in time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Minkey shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Deals manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Deals is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Minkey is looking to work some ground and pound but Deals has wrist control.

Minkey slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Minkey wants to stand but Deals has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Minkey is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Minkey passes Deals's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Deals is not content to let Minkey control the position.
Minkey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Deals knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Deals tries to roll over but Minkey keeps him under control.

Minkey leaves Deals with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Deals fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Minkey scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Deals strikes from the bottom but Minkey takes advantage and advances to full mount!

Minkey pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Deals is trying to defend against the choke here but Minkey has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Minkey Tightens the hold and Deals taps out furiously! Minkey displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
